A PAINTER, AN EDITOR, AND A POET FROM POLAND

Zbigniew Aleksander Wieczorek, alias ”ZEW”, born in 1955, living in Katowice, Poland is a journalist, a writer, poet and a photographer. Seven years ago he also commenced the career of a painter. His techniques include oil finger painting and collage, where he makes use of leaves, grass, ash, shopping receipts, etc. His preferred canvas size is 100×70 cm.

He draws inspiration mostly from his dreams and visions. It is his belief that painting should not be about trying to imitate photographs. Instead, painting should be a means of expressing the painter’s emotions and imagination.

One is welcome to attend the exhibition of paintings and installations titled “Make paint, not war”, which is on display up to January, 2017 at the largest private gallery in Poland – The Wilson Shaft Gallery.

The author encourages all artists and people from other walks of life all around the world to make art and to refrain from spreading hatred.
